Rajender Singh, an army officer, and Kulwinder Singh welcomed Rakul Preet Singh into the world on October 10, 1990 in New Delhi, India. Rakul attended the Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan for her elementary and secondary education before earning an honours degree in mathematics from the University of Delhi’s Jesus and Mary College. She is a good golf player and has also competed at the National Level tournaments.

When Rakul Preet Singh was still in college, she began her modelling career, and produced a number of business flyers. She made her cinematic debut in 2009 with Raghava Loki’s “Gilli,” a Kannada film.
